Nottingham Trent University – Fully funded PhD studentships
Our mission is to create lasting, meaningful change throughout the world, and your research can be a key part of us achieving that goal.
Doctoral research that encourages change and produces real-world impacts is more important than ever. A doctoral degree is more than just a thesis: it is an opportunity to realise your potential as a researcher, to develop your passion and knowledge in a community that values progress.
Finance shouldn’t be a barrier to delivering world-leading research. Our ethos is ‘success for all’, so if you’ve got the talent, the perspectives and the capacity to drive change, we’ll support you. In return for your research expertise, our fully funded PhD studentships will:
- cover the full cost of your PhD fees
- provide a tax-free stipend for your living expenses.
At NTU we believe in championing equality in doctoral education. We have increased the financial stipend for our Studentship recipients, in line with the UKRI.
Submitting your proposal
We’re looking for high-quality projects from innovative researchers. You will need to demonstrate how your proposal aligns with our research strengths — so make sure you’re familiar with our research centres and information events before applying. Alternatively, you can submit an application for one of our dedicated research projects. Take a look at the subject pages above to explore all opportunities.
